Baby Lab

In this lab we had an experiment with a partner we had to compare our features with each other and write who had what and if it was different one person would write big x and little x like so Xx and if the other person depending on the result would of had XX or xx it all depends on what its asking on features and how you look

This is the data table if we had opposites on a feature we had to flip a coin if it was heads it would be the mothers trait so XX for the first feature if it was Xx it would be the fathers trait again it all depends on the person you partner up in my case i partnered up with someone who has the same traits as me so much of our features were the same on the data table

As you see this is what i drew and our baby came out rather ugly i drew the mustache because my partner is hairy so as the baby grows its most likely going to have a lot of facial hair we both have brown hair and eyes but i have curly hair he has flat hair and we both have ovaled shaped heads and not so bushy eyebrows I'm just not good at drawing

mitosis and meiosis

Meiosis

* Requires two nuclear divisions
*Chromosomes synapse and cross over
*Centromeres survive Anaphase 1
*Halves chromosomes number
*Produces four daughter nuclei
*Produces daughter cells genetically different from parent and each other
*Used only for sexual reproduction

Mitosis

*Requires one nuclear division
*Chromosomes do not synapse nor cross over
*Centromeres dissolve on mitotic anaphase
*Preserve chromosome number
*Produces two daughter nuclei
*Produces daughter cells genetically identical to parent and to each other
*Used for asexual reproduction and growth
